Carter High School Competitive Marching Band
The Carter High School Competitive Marching Band is in its first season for the 2011-2012 School Year. This group was chosen through an audition process and consists of 80 musicians and visual members of the highest quality. They will be competing frequently throughout the season at local and regional competitions. They will also perform during pregame at certain home football games. Auditions will be held each spring for this ensemble. Prerequisite: Audition Only

Grand Champion Band - Class A/AA First Place Band in Class AA First Place Percussion (AA) First Place Drum Major (AA)  CHS Students get visit from Indian Artist, Sandip BurmanA small group of students attended a Master Class with Indian Artist, Sandip Burman. Sandip Burman is a world-reknown musician in high demand for concerts and musical engagements. Sandip engaged the students with his virtuostic ability on the Sitar and then again on the tabla. The students were amazed at the ability and introduced to a new type of music.
 Competitive Band wins ClassCongratulations to the Competitive Band in their first competition ever. At the Karns Marching Invitational, the Competitive Band won first place percussion, first place drum major, and first place colorguard as well as first place band in class AA. Great work!

PARENT NIGHT - AUG 5Come see the first performance of the Carter High Competitive Marching Band at Parent Night on Friday, August 5. The program will begin at 6:45pm in the CHS Football Stadium.
